I am, evidently, one of those Americans who only gets her hair cut in America. But really -- when I can save $75 a haircut, I think it's worth it!!
(And see, isn't it nice long? Well, I like it! And that's that!)

You have lovely long hair and I can perfectly understand you waiting until you go back to the States to have it trimmed! I have only dared set foot in a hairdresser once here in Australia and that was for a perm!
Yes, your hair is lovely. However, I know Sydney's expensive but you're paying too much if it's costing over $75 for a trim! I pay less than $25 for wash, trim and often a blow-dry irrespective of hair length (they charged the same price to take it from shoulder-blade length to short). Up the road I could let the TAFE students practise on my hair for $10. I know I live in Logan, Queensland but there must be someone in Sydney who can do it for less than the price you've been quoted.
