quicko: the pre-prayer silence

Australian Christians are big fans of the PPS, letting it stretch 10 -- 15 -- 20 seconds, or roughly long enough for an American to sneak 3 quick just-making-sure-everyone-else-is-praying peeks.

That's generally because we're (a) collecting our thoughts and / or (b) wondering who's going to start and then wondering if it's meant to be 'me'. Then there's time taken up with making sure that we leave things for others to pray about...
