quicko: to make out
Evidently a more American turn of phrase. Australians say ... oh, drat ... going plus some preposition, but I'm afraid the wrong one could have dire consequences. Going on? Not out ... definitely not down ... over? Or something like that ...

haha i'd say 'make out' is used in australia. may not be the most australian of terms but the younger generations have certainly adopted it where i am.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure 'make out' is the term here. I can't think what the 'go' phrasal would be. Going for it? Going bananas?
