quicko: jiffy lube

I had never once given Jiffy Lube a passing thought -- I had vague ideas that it had to do with cars and maybe you could get your oil changed by a guy in coveralls -- until I realized my Australian friends couldn't say the name without bursting into fits of giggles.  Turns out they don't have it here.

We've had Jiffy Lube in Qld but I think they must have gone out of business. Apparently it was a subsidiary of the USA company.

I also notice you say 'coveralls' whereas we say 'overalls'

Hmmm good point -- they're actually different for us. Overalls are those pants that come up and have straps that go over your shoulders -- in a kind of 1970s Godspell sort of way. Coveralls is a complete sort of onesie suit for an adult -- coveralls will keep all of you clean; overalls could leave you exposed around, say, the shoulders. I feel like this is really simple and I've just convoluded it ... but that's the general idea!

Oh, maybe I'm off the mark here. Your definition of overalls is what I mean as well. Sort of like what the youngest one from New Kids On The Block might have worn in canary yellow, with one strap off the shoulder. Yes, that will make you look tough.

I probably innacurately call coveralls overalls as well.
