quicko: shoes

Two notes on shoes:

First, Melbourne is the place to go to buy them.

Second, flip flops are called thongs. Why they named their shoes after racy underwear is a bit beyond me, but, well, I suppose you can't call them unadventurous.

Actually, flip flops were called thongs before they were called flip flops, or at least those were interchangeable terms for the footwear when I was a kid in the US. Thongs as underwear only came into vogue in the last decade or so. So why would anyone want to wear shoes in their pants???
