This post has less to do with the temperatures of fridges than the fact that they don't come included in apartments. Okay, it actually has nothing to do with their temperature and everything to do with the fact that they don't come included in apartments. I just like the alliteration. So sue me.
Can you believe it though? Fridges are not part of Australian apartments. Neither are washing machines. Most come with roofs, but it's a good idea to check all the rooms, just to be sure.

My parent's first place didn't have a fridge or a stove. Fortunately, they got married at the end of November (For all you Australians reading, that = COLD in Ohio!!) So they were able to keep their food in cooler on their patio for several months until their tax return came and they were able to upgrade.
That's a generalisation. Some do, some don't. The last place I was at in Sydney came with a fridge, but no washing machine. You have to look it up on the rental advertisement. It will say "fully furnished," "partially furnished" or "unfurnished". If it says fully frunished and there's no fridge, then you ask some serious questions. If it says partially furnished, then it's a journey of discovery to determne whether it comes with a fridge, or whether it just comes with a partly deconstructed wardrobe.
Oh, for goodness' sake, it's a blog! Of course there's generalization!
