quicko: romper room
Romper Room was (is?) a television show for children. One of the Australian classics. At the end there was a magic mirror and the woman could look out and see "Katie" or "Luke" or whoever she happened to see -- maybe you!

This was a show I used to watch when I was a little girl. I recently saw a special on it, and they told how each television station had their own lady, but how all the shows were scripted exactly the same, so it was consistent across the land (or, I guess, the globe).
