quicko: the bunyip

A large, mythical Australian creature.  Precise description rather hazy; probably hairy and scary.  Lurks near water spots, according to wikipedia.  Have yet to encounter one, but continue to hold my breath when passing puddles on late-night walks home.

You need to substitute 'water spots' for 'billabong'.

Apparently not so mythical - various Aboriginal groups of Victoria independently identified a bone as belonging to a bunyip. The drawing they made of the creature would be similar to what we would call a duck-billed dinosaur. They identified it over a decade before fossils from this type of dinosaur were described (in scientific literature). See http://creation.com/bunyips-and-dinosaurs
