quicko: 6 pm at the RSL

RSL is the Australian VFW, and every night at exactly 6 pm, everyone stands up in the dark, faces the torch of rememberance and listens to a quick spiel lest they, or anyone else who's never heard the stories, forget.

So, what were you doing at a VFW Hall? Surely there is a story behind that.

Yes, fellow American, you are :) It's Veterans of Foreign Wars. I forget what they call it here, though.

Oh, and Mom, I was taken there by a concerned citizen who felt my blog needed such information. And who may or may not also have been trying to weasel me into falling for him ...
