quicko: half-shaved
This naturally varies from person to person, but generally speaking American girls shave their calves and their thighs -- whereas I've noticed a fair few (classy, not tree-hugging) Australian girls who only shave below the knee.

I don't bother with above the knee because (a) they don't get caught in my clothes (esp. jeans) the way the hairs below the knee can; (b) who needs even more potential for ingrown hairs? and (c) the hairs are finer and paler so they're less noticeable anyway;.
