quicko: role reversal
I find it funny that in America the male "tradie" (i.e., construction worker, etc.) is stereotypically thought to be the lewd, leering sort ... whereas in Australia he'd have distinct competition from many of the girls oogling him!

Is it that your girls don't 'ogle'/'appreciate'* your tradies or is it that your tradies aren't so buff/are less likely to take off their shirts?
*Not necessarily approving ogling by either gender - depends on if it's done crudely/lewdly.
Mmm bit of both, I guess. The tradies aren't usually considered very desirable catches (the stereotype is uneducated, lower socio-economic situation and crude -- obviously there are exceptions!!) so girls rarely have a reason to ... appreciate.
