quicko: if you're (un)healthy and you know it ...

Here's a note on American commercials: we've got way more "ask your doctor" ads -- i.e., Australians have very few ads about various medicines. Guess their doctor didn't say Mylanta.

This is actually relatively new in the US, so enjoy the good health and purity of it all while those ads have yet to invade Australia.

Relatively, maybe, but I definitely remember Mrs. Horncastle commenting on the same thing when I was in high school, which is actually quite a number of years ago now. I'd say they've definitely been on TV at least half my life, and anyway in the first half Mr. Rogers and Sesame Street never featured any ads whatsoever (except being brought to you today by the letter K).

Sorry Mom (what's your first name btw? - I feel funny writing 'Mom' when you're not my mum) but you've had quite a lot of them since at least 1998. It was one of the things we noticed about USA society, the attitude of "don't change your inappropriate diet, take something more for it to make it feel better".
