quicko: let's all stay at home

In America, any guy who lives with his parents past about 19 or 20 comes with a big red flag attached. In Australia, no one bats an eyelash until he's about 40.

Not true. Anywhere past about 25 is pushing it, but unfortunately housing is so expensive in Australia, that it becomes non-optional for many people.

poetic license, garry!! exaggeration for comedic effect!!

but you guys stay home waaaay later than americans, and it doesn't exactly win anyone any brownie points.

Who cares about brownie points if it means you might have a smidgen of a chance of saving a hou... er, flat deposit on a hovel that you might be able to pay off by the time you die? Actually, come to that, moving out before you're about 21 marks you as having no head for money or alternatively, no choice due to being a student or kicked out of home.
