quicko: radio

Did you know that in Australia it is technically on the rulebooks that you're not supposed to play the radio in a workplace unless you've paid for it?  I had no idea.  Is it like that in America too and I just didn't know?

  1. Paid for the radio or the workplace? First time I've heard of this.

  2. Laetitia, I think it's a copyright fee you're technically supposed to pay. I've heard of this, but have no idea if it's true, or how you would go about it.

  4. I think in America the radio stations like when they are played in the workplace, as then their advertisers get more exposure. A lot of stations have contests for workplace listeners. For example, if you let them know you listen to their station at your workplace, they will put your name into a drawing for the station to deliver lunch to everyone in the office one day.
