Australians are weird about practice. They spell it alternate ways. Practise when it's a noun; practice when it's a verb. Or maybe it's the other way round. I really don't know. I can't keep track. 50-50 says I'm right.
Think of it this way "c" comes before "s" in the alphabet just like "n" for noun comes before "v" for verb. This rule works for other ice/ise endings too.
Practise is the verb and practice is the noun....yes, it's highly confusing especially when using microsoft office who insists that you've got it wrong!
