The other day I realized after awhile why one of my friends was terribly confused about rehearsal dinners: he'd thought that it was a rehearsal of the
dinner instead of the wedding. When I explained that it was just a rehearsal of the ceremony
followed by a dinner the clouds cleared immediately. So, just in case there are any other Australians out there a bit trouble by this concept, rest assured: Americans are merely figuring out where to stand, not how to eat.
That's funny.
