I think ...I've often wondered about this one. <br /><br />I think it's an attempt to bring the general Australian trend towards awesomeness into line with global standards. Things in Australia are generally so freaking fantastic that things which seem to us to be below standard when compared with our general levels of brilliance would actually be simply considered average when compared to the standards of less fortunate places such as Somalia, Haiti, The Dominican Republic and England.
